Nah too orange...

Has anyone noticed a certain well known artists' impression of celebrity females popping up all over the place?

Sin has been making a mark around town for quite a while now. And its good to see that hes found a medium that suits. Judging by some of the comments people have made about these paste ups, they are pretty popular! All I can say is Sin, there are plenty more empty spaces that need brightening up around the place hint hint :-P

....On a different note, Im always excited to find documentaries about any Street Art and Graf however long or short. This one was no exception.

Featuring mainly Bristol Artists and a couple from London....

Pole for cash

Im still finding it difficult to try and sort what to post first......

On the same day that Drypnz and PNTR did the collab in Left Bank NEXT & SKARY where painting just up from where they were. They had aquired quite an audience by the time they were done (The Police included) and I didnt want to get in the way......

Walls

One of our usual sunny day walks consists of a essential visit to the skate park to see who has stopped by and left their mark. I was surprised to see these two visitors getting up...

Next & Skary

I got a message via Myspace later that day that this had been capped, within hours. Something about someone going over someone else blah de blah same ol' story. It still looked pretty sick though!

POINT and Stare

With all the action that has happened over the last 5 days I'm struggling to decide in what order I should post them! It's been a while since I've been spoilt for choice.....

PNTR, a recent visitor from Dunedin has once again made his mark on Wellington. I had the privilage of meeting him in person while he worked on a collab with Drypnz. Finally I could put a face to the emails and stickers he had sent.

With Surplus Bargains

Im loving the screen print pasteys! We don't usually see this style of paste-ups in Wellington!

So much to post and so little time! I thought that PNTR deserved a shout first.

On the map

There were a few things going on over the weekend. 1st up was BodyRock. Held at Civic Square. It was a bit of a flying visit on my part but got to hang with TheKid for a while. I thought TS would be laying down some live graf but I was sadly disappointed.

LeftBank, Aprox 3pm

Left Bank got some much needed international loving. Unfortunately the general public didn't share the same view and the writers and were asked to leave. Here's a few action shots.

Drypnz Editor Cast And 2 German visitors.

There was a general consensus that this Police Officer had 'Little man Syndrome'
Judging by his body language this is probably true.

The artist formerly known as...

Looks like someone has been busy the last 2 or so weeks...He shall remain nameless but his work is fucking awesome!

Im enjoying this latest bout of Paste-Up fever, Wellington was running stagnant except for a handful of people (we know who you are!) and it's good to see the time and effort put into creating them go to good use by brightening up the place.

A new era

Now that I've got my new camera under control, after a few minor hiccups involving miscommunication between myself and the instruction manual I went out to see if anything decent had been put up in my absence. I found some larger-than-life Surplus Bargains paste-ups! Worthy first subjects I must say. We hadn't seen Surplus around for a long time and I had wondered where and when he was going to pop up next. It appears that street artists are creatures of habit as we've seen Surplus place his creations in the same spot before. I say he has officially claimed it as his own!

Having been off the graf radar I didn't really pay attention to the usual sticks and tags etc outside Manky Chops and had walked passed their numerous times without even noticing these Flamingos posing as umbrellas. Unfortunately, as always, ugly tags had ruined it before I could get a clean shot. Ah Well.

I think I may have seen the above picture down Lambton Quay a little while ago, not quite sure though. This particular one is on Ghuznee St.

Sight and sound

Yeahhhhh! I got brand spanking new camera! I'm really excited as I've been out of action for over 2 weeks and seen a few things I would have liked to be able to photograph! I was one of the point-and-shoot crowd but have finally upgraded. I couldn't afford an SLR but got a camera with nearly as many options.

New photos coming soon!

New Year

Since the new year has finally arrived and I'm a year older I've been contemplating moving to a different blog server site. One with more options for layouts etc Anyone know of any goodies? I've been researching Wordpress and it has come up tops so far.

Anyways, Ive been pretty lazy over the xmas period with all the drinking and the eating and more drinking you do at this time of year that I kinda let the graf slide right on by.

Got some flicks of IKON painting up what has steadily become his official place to paint, the Salvation Army car park, Vivian Street. It may be my untrained eye but when I went back to get the end result it looked unfinished?

I missed out on a run with 'THE FAMILY' a few weekends back to put up a collab of Eeks, me and Neonate. It looked fkn sick once it it was up. I love seeing the mash up of styles all thrown together. I get the feeling that we'll end up painting together again really soon.

As of yesterday my camera decided that it was tired of snapping flicks and gave up the ghost. Lucky I have a back up, even though it chews through the batteries like a rabid goat. I apologise for the shift in quality in advance.
