End of the year

Well, another year is coming to an end. I trust everyone survived the Christmas carnage of over-eating, gift giving and general festive debauchery.

This blog has come a long way since the first set of photos were uploaded, but I still feel it could progress more and hopefully the new year will bring about change and the progression that I'm looking for. I have a trick or two up my sleeve and with the help of a few good friends we'll get there in the end. Wish me luck!

Eventful week

It's been an eventful week ....


Last Sunday I made my way up to Waitangi Park to get shots of TS painting a bus as part of the ACT RIGHT anti-violence campaign for GO Wellington. I didn't stick around long but the bus was looking pretty dope.




I woke up to a text from Odin stating that a new pastey had been put up on the makeshift construction wall not far from the usual route to work. Malice is DOPE!!!







Took a trip up to Mt Crawford to see if anything new had appeared in the few weeks since we had last been there. Not much had changed apart from the AIM one above ...


And finally Friday 11th saw the re-release of Massage Magazine @ Meow Cafe. We braved the wind and the odd rain shower to chill in the courtyard out the back. Organic beer isn't so bad after all :-P

With Christmas just around the corner and the prospect of a well earned holiday on the horizon I'm going to apologise in advance for posts slowing down over the next couple of weeks. This Friday 11th December will see the re-release of Massage Magazine @ Meow Cafe 149 Willis Street from 7pm onwards. Come down, have a drink and have a geez at the Mag. It's pretty rad!

Silenc has been to town! Saw him painting down leftbank. Its a shame that Leftbank Isn't what it used to be. I wanted to get the big chromey F that was there but it had already been capped.

Act Right Sunday 6th December

A GO Wellington bus will be carrying an anti-violence message round the city for the next eight months.

A workshop was held on the Friday 20 November with the bus painting planned for the next day but was delayed til Sunday 6th December, to explore young people's perceptions of violence and abuse. Participants came up with key messages about what violence means to them and how this could be communicated through art.

There will be live performances on the while the bus is painted including Host MC Peace, D ov a Kind, Kurst 1, TNG, Wellington B boy and B Girl Crew - Voltron and other B boys and B girls, CPC DJ Crew and the It's Not Okay Campaign champions Tremain and Vic Tamati.

Hopefully the sun is out!

Have a good weekend Pt. 2

A big group of us hung out, drunk beers, talked shit and painted the old Aro Servo on Sunday. A tonne of people stopped by while we were doing it to say how much they love our work. It's good to know that the whole of Aro Valley are supporting us. .

It's all about the actual act of painting, not to see how long it lasts, which is something a chosen few forget. We have a good time doing it and no matter how many dramas you try and cause you will never be able to change that.

Big ups Eek Beware Texas Cast Editor Aim Quew Haps FSU and Manky 166! We'll make believers out of them haters!
