Martha Cooper has released a new book titled NAME TAGGING. Best known for documenting New York Graffiti in the 70's and 80's Martha has continued to snap shots of sticker art and compiled her best photos together for the book. With the 25th anniversary of her book SUBWAY ART recently and the rise of the Digital camera it's good to see the pioneers still making an impression.

Berlin based artist Sweza is using QR (or Quick Response) barcodes on spots the authorities buff. Hooked blog explain that if you have a QR barcode reader on your phone you can scan the code and the images will load letting you view what was there before the buff got to it. Pretty nifty idea!

While we're on the subject, The buff squad in Lisbon, Portugal are removing any graffiti that appears along the route that The Pope's procession will take on his next visit. Somehow I think the graf will re-appear just as quickly as it's buffed.
