After a year's hiatus from Manky Chops, Sole returns to serve up a tribute to the old school masters of Soul, Funk, Reggae, Dub, and all that classic goodness. Under the guise of 'Sole-Phonic', he launches a new extension to his alias, blending his passion for both music and art. This latest body of work is inspired by the forefathers & mothers of our modern music culture, and the record cover artworks that accompanied their vinyl 12" & 7" inch records. From the soulful depths of Nina Simone & Al Green, the funky grooves of James Brown & Michael Jackson, and the irie vibes of Bob Marley & Lee Scratch Perry.

I saw this stencil on the pillar at the entrance of LeftBank. Someone in Wellington must be a fan of Meek, a stencil artist from Melbourne (unless Meek has been here and Im too dumb to know lol)
Although you can't see it in the photo the white square says' Keep your coins, I want change"
