Meanwhile back in Wellington...

Manky Chops Gallery are proud to present "Beauties 'n Beasties", a collection of artworks by Julie Wilson and Vaune Mason. Derived from the old tale of Beauty and the Beast, It hints at the artists' tendancy to juxtopose beauty and distortion. While this could lead down a dark and twisted road, the creatures in this exhibition are richly coloured, witty and endearing. The exhibition has a whimsical feel, with Julie Wilson's illustrative beauties on magical merry-go-round creatures, and Vaune Mason's super cute and ever so twisted "Baby Box".

What: "Beauties 'n Beasties" exhibition by Julie Wilson and Vaune Mason.
Where: Manky Chops Gallery, Level 1, 166a Cuba St, WGTN
When: Thursday 9th of April, 6pm til 9pm and runs until Saturday the 25th of April

For the opening extravaganza on Thursday evening we will be enjoying music by Derek Sonic Thunders and a special appearance by the lovely burlesque bombshell, Miss Venus Star
