Red Bull Street Art View

Using Google street view Red Bull have compiled images of Street Art from around the world.

Was the infamous memorial painting to IAN CURTIS in Mount Cook really a tribute to a man with the same name who blew himself up while trying to destroy the Whanganui Computer Centre in the early 80's??? I always assumed it was dedicated to Ian Curtis from Joy Division. This site claims otherwise.

I found out today that the man mentioned on the Red Bull Street Art View website was actually Neil Ian Curtis aged 22 from Auckland. The bombing incident was in 1982. So i'm thinking they got it wrong and the wall is actually dedicated to Ian Curtis of Joy Division fame.
